Boost guage in headlight controll switch.

Can anyone tell me how to put my boost guage where the headlight switch is now? I never use it so i figured i may as well put the boost guage there. So how do I take it out and cut the wires so it will stay on the current setting? then where can i hook up the boost guage power and run the vac line in?

No need, I'm right here.

Chip. Just click your lights to the on position.

Take the bottom panel off the dash board.

Shover your hand in there, and pop out the fog switches and let em hang, reach up and try and pull out headlight switch. You may be able to do this buy just pulling from the outside.

Use a dremel, and grind out the plastic that holds the switch in. Test fit a few times.

Wire up the gauge, as per ERPs directions. Since you have a T7 car, I think you will need to use something like the vac hose on the bypass valve.

Use a green light thingy to get the sorta saab light effect. Wire the ground to the stock ground on the fuse panel. Wire the lead to the headlight dimmer switch as described on ERP's sight..

well i wired my boost gauge to the headlight switch for a power source, and the headlight switch came out easy from the outside. I just pulled the switch slightly hard and it poppeed right out. What i recommend is just cutting around the headlight switch so you can fit it back through the same hole and just secure it on something inside the dash, so its still there and you dont need to mess with electronic stuff too much. Then just pop the boost gauge in the place where the headlight switch was and wire it up. hopefully the gauge fits in there.

now that i think about it, u could just cut all the wires off the headlight switch once you pull it out, then wire them back up to the same switch behind the dash so you dont have to do any permanent damage....and just secure it behind the dash so if you want to sell the car you could just rewire it back to where it was without any damage.
