turbo silencer removal

i guess this would go here, as its going to give more sound then performance
i did it today, only problem was trying to get the plastic sleeve out.

She sounds great now, at about 2000Rpms, you just get this nice wooshing sound

spool-up time is a little bit quicker also

Glad to see it worked out well enought for ya. It can be a bitch.

I'll put this is performance since it seemed to help the spool.

yea you should do the t5 intake mod if you want some noise and dont wanna spend any money. Of you can just gimme a few bucks for my stock t5 intake box

Awesome free mod, and im sure that baffle hindered a bit of air flow.

Only the NG900's and 99 9-3 S/SE (unless you got a late model 99 9-3 SE which then recieved the viggen intercooler and different plumbing). Rule of thumb is if you have t5 then you probably have the silencer.

the ng's and the non HOT og 9-3s have the double sided ic and the metal tube that contains the silencer is between the ic and turbo...hope that is a good explanation
