Clutch Chatter
Hey Guys,
So the past few days I have been driving my car I have notice a ridiculous amount of clutch chatter. My Clutch Set Up is, GS Stage 2 Clutch Disk, Viggen PP, and Spec Flywheel. Doing some reading around and I found that most of the time clutch chatter is not caused by the clutch disk or flywheel but because of overly flexible engine or trans mounts, anyone have opinions on this? My cars got almost 130k miles on it and this has only started to recently happen, so maybe it is my mounts Thoughts? Thanks Much

A puck clutch disk is going to squeal like a pig,they all do.
And you also have the alloy flywheel which makes it even worse. Are you getting the Noise chatter or the Vibration chatter or both ?

I guess both.
Thing is it would only happen a little bit when it was cold and now it's doing it all the time when starting from a stop. I understand some noise but this is insane. And over 10k on the clutch

All that clutch and not enough power, what a waste. people over clutch these cars all the time. So it's either your clutch, or your rms is taking a shit and is spraying oil all over the disk. My guess, clutch.

I got the clutch because it was the one I could get the fastest.
I know I should have some chatter but when all the sudden its happening a insane amount and there is this weird squeaking coming from my car when breaking and going over bumps is making me believe that something else is going on here

Well I guess I was right for once
Put in upgraded Motor and Tranny mounts and clutch chatter is 99.9% gone It only makes a tinny noise when the engine is cold, starting from a complete stop Sometimes things just work out perfectly

Better buy a new rear mount soon. The GS poly mounts obliterated the rear mount on my car as it was of similar age/wear.

What are you thinking of replacing the rear mount with? Stock or upgraded? I'm in the same predicament.

GS use to make a rear sport mount, but now I can't find it on their website
