Phenolic thing

Do these things do anything , I need to fix my exhaust gasket and wondered is it worth doing or are these just a problem waiting to happen, or just useless

well first off, correct me if im wrong but i think they go on the intake manifold... not the exhaust manifold...

i believe they do help, but don't know for sure yet... i will be installing one this winter...

i thought they reduced heat transfer from exhaust manifold to engine block , does something do that ?, one sight i saw says they have one for exhaust gasket as well, but i do see alot of intake gaskets, maybe they do both , keep me posted your results , sounds like it could be good upgrade for turbo cars

yes these are designed for intake manifold and TB, phenolic spacer's are amazing. i've run one on my audi for several yrs now with noticeable heat soak drop also around 2hp gain. know doesn't seem liek alot but the throttle response was noticeable. and yeah there was a thread a couple yr's ago on SC bout them and i think even some for sale. easy enough to make in a afternoon if your good with a sharpie, rotozip, dremel and drill press. buy some phenolic material, take a gasket trace cut, drill, smooth edges and have a spacer. run gaskets on both sides and also consider u'll need longer manifold bolts or studs.
