TD04 Wastegate Actuator

Any experience with one of these?
Kinugawa Adjustable Turbo Actuator Saab 9 3 9 5 Aero TD04HL w 5 Spring | eBay

Also, I'm going from having NO actuator to having one. This isn't supposed to be an upgrade, well I guess it is, from open WGA and no boost to boost.

Not that one, but I do have the forge unit, and it was a biiitttch of a time to get mapped properly. But works wonders now.

Give it a shot and report back.

Any other thoughts? Getting a forge one is looking pretty hard, and really expensive at this point. And I can't find a stock one, new or used. That company makes a stock style one but its only 30 less than this one, so might as well get the adjustable one.

Or you could comeover and grab your old one.

I just find it odd that the wastegate arm has a bend.
Unless they are showing the one for the T25? Idk.

OR... option B. Slightly more expensive. Much more legit. Except the arm isn't bent? Or is it supposed to be straight?

Forge Adjustable Actuator Fits Saab 95 9 5 2 3TURBO 93 9 3 2 3 Turbo FMAC95932 | eBay

So $120 vs $180?

I guess the question is, is the 50% price increase worth it?

So $120 vs $180?
I gave you an Option B already by getting your actuator back. Maybe when you pick it up you can return my black DIC and fog light grill.

The actuator arm is straight on 5cm/6cm TD04s and the GT-17. The bent one is the T25. I bet the chinese company is using a generic stockfile picture. EDIT:I examine the pics and its clearly a saab 5cm td04 15t. The must be using a shortened stock rod length that is bent for another product to save on production. Some ebay forge actuators have turned out to be knockoffs. The best bet is ordering it straight from Forge at 210.. AND they sell a shiny stainless steel version for only 30 bucks more....

Like I told you Logan, I have to agree that the 50% price increase is worth it. I'd rather do that than be out the original money PLUS have to buy another one cause the first one is junk.

I was there the weekend before last and got a red DIC. Couldn't believe it. Lol.

They've been rearranging a lot of cars... And they've gotten rid of 6-8 9000s this summer.

I can't imagine a TD04 would last long. Lots of Garrett turbos out there, tho.

Dang. The only reason I'm not still on a helper spring is I got a smoking deal on my forge actuator, less than the Chinese one you listed.

Fwiw, put a wanted ad up for a used actuator and put a helper on if needed. The forge ones are nice and all, but not worth the expense or the headaches of tuning for it. Plus the rod on mine was about an inch too long and had to be hacked off.
