Anyone have a pic of a water pump block adapter?

The puddle of water in my garage indicates that I'm probably missing mine.

EDIT....O-rings are bad...

NVM...

I've learned the hard way that you never add coolant until you add a gallon or so of water.

I don't know that you can install the pump without the adapter.
it's weird to me that the water pump has that piece. why not just have one, or work it into the pump??

either way, it's easy to mangle the o-rings. There's nothing wrong with lubing them, and the block up before you assemble to prevent having to do it a couple times; especially since o-rings and shipping can be another 20-30 bucks =0/

i thought the same thing as i was looking at the replacement part online....thats not right! but the walk thru with pictures showed the same piece as autoxone. i googled water pump block adapter and found this page. seems it could be my problem too.

i am loosing coolant but it only seems to be little amounts, mostly when i park the car after driving. small drips that are hard to track down. i know there is a kit that adds dye to your antifreexe and comes with a little uv penlight, but dont feel that is needed. given the location and amount of loss, this is likely my problem. do i need a new ring kit? after reading more, sounds like replacing the pump while you are there is the way to go.

here is the link for the walk thru i was looking at, in addition to having the service manual cd. my cd is great. here is what i just bought.

If its like the 9-3/9-5, you don't need the backside ofbthe water pump.

Assuming you have a complete, but leaking pump and they're like the 9-3, you just use the old backside. It's not a wear item. The pulley side is the part that gets replaced/rebuilt.
