What are these wires, and where do they go?

Putting everything back together, and these wires -- from the harness, extending down toward the starter -- are making me hate life.

One wire is thick -- three separate strands of twisted copper -- while the other one is thin...

T5 harness, B234...

Are they the ground wires that go to the intake manifold?

They should be on the side of the intake manifold (2 threaded holes I believe) by the delivery pipe.

Yup, those are your ground wires for the injectors. The bigger wires go to the manifold for sure, and i beleive the small one bolts to the thermostat housing. Doesnt really matter as long as they are grounded to the engine.

yeah, they're grounds. they bolt under the o2 sensor/crank sensor bracket.
I always break the one in the thermostat housing.

Another question...

The gray connector at lower left doesn't seem to have a mate. It's a two-wire connector....

Are all of your fuel injectors plugged in? There should be five connectors total that look like that. 4 for fuel injectors and 1 for the coolant temp sensor between cyl 2 & 3.

I take that back, there's 6. One for the intake temp sensor on the charge pipe also.

All the injectors look plugged in....intake temp sensor is OK, so maybe this is the coolant temp sensor...

I'll check tomorrow...
