Please don't, just put an open air intake on the car and be done.

It's part of the n00b rite of passage.

Also I think this is the 67th variation of "Mr Saab" now registered on TSL.

you can get one but it must vent into the pipe, which muffles the sound a bit as the car's calculation on air mass with be off if you vent it into the air. It will them through a check engine light

Would a new diverter valve without an open air intake make some of that sound?

My Forge BPV and open intake makes for a pretty loud noise upon shifting or letting off of the gas. I also disconnected the sensor on the firewall and blocked the hose on the intake manifold and it made it even louder and more responsive.

I'll look for it... it also helped with turbo spool and it seems to hold it a lot better now. Very noticeable difference.

Saab-Tuners.com ][ Trionic 7 turbo faster response modification

https://www.saablink.net/forum/perfor...-9-5/54214.htm

I don't recommend using a nipple plug/cap on the intake manifold port though. I kept popping them off (no matter how tight of a fit they were), I lost about 4 of them. I ended up using a small piece of silicone vacuum hose with a bolt stuffed in the end and zip tied it tight on both ends. Haven't lost it yet and it's been about 8k miles.

But it's only for T7 cars.

Do not run a BOV on a T7 car. Your car will hate you. As said before, trionic 7 measures the left over boost through the MAF. If it doesnt sense that air, the car will go wtf? and itll get pissed quickly. So make sure you re-circulate the air with whatever diverter valve you get. NO ATMOSPHERIC DUMP VALVES.

Anyways, now that i got that out lol
I have an open air setup (auto parts "cone" attached to stock intake tube) and a Forge 007dv on my 01' vert, and after a good spool up you can get a pretty nice audible "pssh". Though....do this by yourself....speeding up and then letting of the gas is...well...lets say passengers dont appreciate it lol.

I highly highly, recommend buying a Forge Diverter Valve, they are one of the BEST out there.

Gotcha, and no problem... it's a quick and easy mod that is defintely well worth it! It's amazing how much smoother boost is and let offs are. Just immediate response.
