What's this extra poly bit for?

Hey there Guys,
Just got my parcel from GS.

All three poly mounts, 3 bar sensor, short shifter and pod air intake.

Firstly I've got to say I'm super stoked with the K&N pod filter. It now sounds like my bonnet is going to be sucked in. Lush turbo spool noise compared to my panel filter

My question is,

The rear mount came with an extra poly piece which I'm not sure what do do with. Any ideas ?
The blue bit on the right

Cheers

I would recommend the softer one in an effort to minimize vibrations.

Wow, that was an interesting(but disturbing)read.^^
I hope the problems have been sorted out by now.

Does anybody know which one is the hard and which is the soft AND
what I should use and why?

O.K
As usual I can't help myself but pull stuff apart.

Inside the mount there was the dark blue poly at the bottom and on top was the sprocket looking poly . The dark blue seems the harder of the two using my fingernail test. The light blue poly feels softer.

Any thoughts on what I should run with ?

People use what they think is comfortable. Put the hard one in and go for a drive. If you don't like it, take it out and put the other one in.

I'm trying to save myself the drama of experimenting. Changing mounts is not a 2 second job.

Please what does everybody else use?

or am I the only one that uses this rear mount ?

Well not everybody uses the same one. A lot of them use the hardest one.

I just got a return Email from Nick T,
He recommends the harder (dark blue) poly.

He said because of the hotter climate here in Australia !

I never would have thought climate would have anything to do with stuff but it does make sense.
I suppose the hotter the poly gets the softer it gets.

So in goes the hard poly !

My stage 5 begins in about 1 week.

First job, remove the gearbox, install viggen clutch.

Look out for my stage 5 install thread !

Really? I wouldn't think the climate would matter considering how hot your engine bay gets in comparison.
