fill the stock trans mount with poly urethane if you want it stiffer. and some motor mounts can get filled too but youll have to remove rubber. the urethane is stiff enough for me on the street. was a night and day difference

i will be making a set to test out first before anything.
i want to make these solid mounts strong, but not so strong that other more valuable components break (trans case)

If you install 'em, offer all the girls in your neighborhood a "ride" I have a race rear mount and the stg 2 poly fronts from Gs. Holy F*ck! Thank god I don't have fillings otherwise they'd have shaken out a while ago. I officially own the worlds biggest vibrator

I made a 22 hour trip from OK to NJ with those mounts and my gf still managed to sleep most of the night. God help us though if the motor gets below 2000 rpm

You know if you everrrrr want a Guinea pig for these kinda things, i know a guy who drive a similar car to yours it just has less power... so it can relate to most of the people on here? (if you catch my drift, and by drift I mean massive amounts of understeer.)

Have you cut your balance chain? Didn't think so...
Let's put it like this, while I've been in old 2.4 toyotas that are worse, it is light years away from its original smoothness. The mirrors shake @ idle and @ 2k rpm, and the whole dash rattles with a low plastic buzzing.

I wanted everything "hard" or "intense" and boy, i got it. However, the responsiveness of the car in my mind seems to pay off.

Lol, making assumptions on shit you don't know about? Seeing how the whole engine was torn down and rebuilt, I'd say he doesn't have balance chains anymore, and he has a B235.

I think my trans mount could use an upgrade, let me know how the batches come along I might consider it.

Cm - No balance chain and poly mounts here too. I solved some of my dash rattles by strategically jamming some chunks of rubber (cut power steering hose) in between the windshield and upper dash plastic. Takes some trial but looks decidedly OK. The passenger rear view mirror rattle I eliminated totally by similar means. I'm going after some SID rattles next. Did I mention how the pass door/window rattles sometimes?

All the more reason to have the balance chains. Every person I've come across with a 234/5 with cut chains says the vibrations are impossible IE REALLY bad! Keep in mind, this is also with stock mounts.

I wasn't trying to be a dick or call anyone out...maybe my wording may have alluded to that, but I assure you it wasn't my intent. I was simply drawing from first hand experience and a lot of time on these forums ('cus I have NO life) that people who generally state that the vibes are there but not bad are those who retained the chains. For the record, the vibes are not totally intolerable with my 204, but the rattles and cabin resonance brought on is almost too much.
Hey, to each their own
