if its a 5cm^2 housing dont buy it... egt will be fairly high
if its a 6cm^2 housing thing should be ok

dont expect it to last as long as a real Mitsubishi turbo

1)Because its $800

2)Because its not a real Mitsu turbo (as said above)

3)Because unless you are running some nuts tuning, a stock 9k Aero TD04 will suffice JUST fine.

.......need more reasons, or is that ok?

Humor me.... what realistically would go wrong with that turbo? I'm curious... not like I'd buy it.

And... buy this instead: CUMMINS HX35W Diesel Turbo Charger HOLSET T4 Flange | eBay

I agree with all of you.
I'm worried about the casting quality. It looks pretty good in the pics but it might be like a Mcdonalds hamburger. It looks good on the menu but when it comes out it looks like shit.
But saying that, it has a 6 month warranty. And really, what could go wrong with it. As long as it spins, and is feed quality oil it should last a few years.
And its a 7cm, it should haul ass.

just incase this is a piece of shit, can someone else buy one first.

That 15G looks like it could be legit, the oval inlet is correct for a 6cm^2.

Another option to think about, for the price difference, you could buy that 19T and send it directly to a shop that has real Mitsu parts and have them do a bearing job and balance it right-off before you install it. Or buy the kit and rebuild it yourself, then send it in for balancing. I don't know if that's a good idea or not...something to think about anyway. There has to be at least one quality turbo shop down there.

Had a guy buy one of those ebay 19t turbos about a month ago, he would not listen to me and put it on the car and it ran great for about 10 minutes and then exploded and ate itself.

That is a well known thing in the performance industry, do not buy an ebay turbo ! At least one made in China or something and not a decent brand oem turbo that is used,

John

Don't buy an HX35 with a T4 flange, find a T3 flange one off of a Dodge. Look around on diesel forums - WAY cheaper than ebay. Mine was $250 shipped with 80k miles.

Remember folks, eBay ins't a brand, it is a marketplace. I'm sure there are plenty of people selling real genuinely good stuff on eBay, you just have to be smart about it.

There is no such thing as an "eBay Turbo"

To a certain extent. A "Bandaid" is a brand, but everyone knows what it is. "eBay Turbo" is synonymous with "Chinese Fake Turbo That Might Last But Might Not"

Cancel the TD04 guys, I just got the ball rolling on what I was originally going to do. Can't say yet (its not concreate) But should be equal to a 19-T and most of all its all quality. I should have it mid December.

When I got my head together, there was no way I could buy the POS ebay turbo. Next time I have a ridiculous idea like that someone slap me.

For example, $286 + $80 s&h. Seller has 99.6% positive feedback, 663 sales. It can't all be junk can it? You'd think it would show up in the feedback at some point...

I think the same thing, but then when I get my head back together, I refer to the first golden rule in life
"If something seems to good to be true, It usually is"
Then I still usually buy the junk anyway because I'm the kind'a person who is'nt happy till he finds out the hard way

Not sure yet. I'm going to get all my hardware together first. Then try and estimate what sort of ft/lbs it will turn. But as for brand "clutchnet" at this early stage. But that could change at any minute.
