New addition to the fleet

Found a good deal on a 01 black viggen. It should be here on Saturday. I am very excited to check it out and get it running.

First time I have bought a car without actually driving it or seeing it person. For the price I paid, I don't think I can go too wrong.

Couple of pics.

I am part of the viggen club now

John

Where in CA is the car from? IIRC someone on here (who rarely posted) had a black vig out in the riverside/san bernadino area.

It could be him, it was from Sun City. Outside LA.

Nice, judging by the correct number of doors it appears to be a Real viggen.

What does it need to get it running?

It probably needs a head gasket. Some bubbles in the expansion bottle after it warms up, but still ran well enough to pass California emmissions and smog.

For the price I paid, it could need a whole new motor and I would still come out ok on the deal.

At first, I will perfect a stg 1 on it, then go to stg 3 petro with full exhaust and then the ets ic, t5 cams and e85. If it has tcs, will make it a flex fuel car and then drive it for a while and then probably do forged pistons and go to stg 5 level.

After that, the sky is the limit, but might just keep it at the stg 5 level on e85 and then keep another one of my cars as the big hp project. Then again, the tubular manifold would bolt right up and look pretty nice on it

I just need the car to have tcs so I can run the flex fuel sw and not either petro only or e85 only. That way if I head out across the country and run out of e85, I can fill up with gasoline and keep on truckin

Man I was hoping you'd say you were keeping this one stock. The next car I get is only gonna have it's hood opened as part of the oil changing process and that's just about it. Congrats!
