Wow. Good for Jak. I was wondering what happened to him. I would love to live in his old location but I don't think it was very business friendly.

expensive?! I usually felt just the opposite!!! Unless you're talking straight ECU tuning, which Jak was doing long before T5suite.... in recent terms, yeah.....a bit pricey.... supply and demand........

His parts were a bit overpriced, I have his big intercooler and 3" ss exhaust which are about two years old. The exhaust has some pinholes and parts where he didn't fully weld, hence the reason why I have to pay to get some parts on the DP re-welded on friday. Not really worth the $1200 I paid.

I loved Jak, but feel as many do here, parts vs quality, did not seem to line up all that well. That is why I went out on my own and came up with the ets ic, the one from Jak seemed rediculous to me.

I wish Jak all the best, he really is a good guy for the most part,

John

Good luck to Jak! Portland is a great spot. Year-round sabbing, and some awesome driving.

Also, people should perhaps think about being about 100% more respectful to people who hung their necks out on the pitifully small (and loaded with tightwads) Saab tuning world BEFORE there was T5 suite or ECU project.

Without the people that had done things like that, none of us would be where we are today.

I have a JSP sticker on my 86, and it's staying there until it falls off.

Oh, and my friend lives about 10 blocks away from that shop.

I think I may have walked by it when I was out in Portland last winter.

wow, that's quite a move! I for one wish him luck in his new ventures. From his recent posts on other forums it sounded like he was in desperate need of a new revenue stream due to already mentioned small number of "saab tightwads." I'm glad he found what he was looking for, maybe he will chime in once he gets his stuff together.

Cool, two of my sisters live in Portland (one is a percussionist in Portland's awesome March Fourth Marching Band). Maybe I can stop by the shop when I visit them.

What Jak may have lacked in utmost quality, he more than made up for in customer service. I never had problems dealing with him one-to-one.

I hope he likes it out there! I'm a big fan of that part of the country, and from when I met him he seems like the type of person would would be a good fit for Portland.

Best of luck to Jak! Also, Portland is an awesome area. I want to live there myself!

PS. I also totally agree with Palmer's comments above.

Yep I was talking with Travis about this last week. Atomic is going to be playing up the JSP stuff and creating a cool west coast tuning setup around him. It's a very cool idea. Their new facility is HUGE.

I'm planning on bringing the 'vert down and working with them to dev up some c900 kits/parts.
