could it be?

but yes it is
my '95 900s has done it once again
its went from N/A
to turbo

AND NOW.....

its got a lil T5 love in it

could this be one of the only (if not the only) boosted T5'ed ng900s's in the country?

pics to come tonight
and a vid of the engine running to prove it

i owe my custom tune to none other than JZW

thanks john... now we can start making this tune a lil more aggressive

That is cool man, talk about your hybrid maps I am very curious to see how it runs, we can always bump the boost up a little, the timing is now on the concervative side compared to what it was with the na file and it may be able to run a little more boost, maybe 12 psi or so, we will just have to creep up on it and see how she runs

Huh? Am I misunderstanding this statement? Aren't all turbo NG900's T5?

Was the conversion somewhat similar to T5'ing a C900?

That's a really mature picture, I can't see why anyone doubted you.

Anyway, good job on getting Trionic up and going with this. Try to get a dyno. Videos would be cool, too.

most sensors stayed.... the only that i had to swap over were idle control valve, coolent temp, and throttle position
(i was actually able to swap just the tps from one tb to the other in order to keep my bigger bore N/A tb)
in other words it was very straight forward
i mean i think "how to" is unnecesary it was that straight forward
one other thing is our older cars came with only 1 O2 sensor so i have to eventually make a spot on the exhaust and instal to get rid of the check engine light

i will be transfering OBDII stuff soon so i can be able to diagnose when i want to

Nice work, not too terrible of a project either. Sure, it is more simple to buy one with a turbo already in it, but same goes for things like installing a new trans when one breaks...

There are always more simple ways, but sometime going the unconventional route is more fun

Good work! Really glad to see it is not running on untuned Motronic any more!

you're right that it is easier to just buy a turbo model
but i see no fun in that
i loved the experience
and now i am truly one of the only (if not the only) saaber in the states that that can say they have done this to their N/A

so i replace my BPC with a new one and i still am running in base boost,
i also have a cel so it must mean that that i am in limp mode
this is not much fun
i place a boost controller in earlier to up the boost just a lil to see what the car does
and lets just say i didnt even place it to the full 9psi that john had the tune for and it's a screamer compared to before
ill try and get a vid of it soon so you can compare it to before the tune

does anyone have a list of thing that will set the car into base boost? (so i can try and figure it out till i can get my friend to scan it with a tech 2 next week)
