Viggen vs. Mazda3.......who wins...?

See what happens when you push a viggen from behind it punches you in the face!......rear-ended this morning....haven't had the car for month and put nohting but hours into it to exhaust, suspeions, interior, etc....oh the horror!

Do you guys think it is totaled b/c of the corner panel?

If it is totaled im buying the car back....

the car is completely fine it runs great!

Its not just the 1/4 panel. The reason it is kinked like that is due to the entire rear floorpan being pushed down and forward a few cm.

I would say that if it was fixed "right" it would be written off by insurance. However you could get by with some time on the frame rack to pull much of it back into shape, and it would probably be just fine for funcionality sake. I'd say something like that would make a good track car, or drive it as-is with the saggy ass...or find someone to yank it back as close to in shape as possible. Or hell, drop several thousand $$$ to have it fixed "right" with a new 1/4 panel on there.

I'd say they total it. That quarter panel doesn't look that bad but I'm going to bet the frame around the hatch/c-pillar is bent... which is where the pinch came from.

so now like 300 blue viggens left? their value should be slowly increasing now

now, if they total it, how much will it cost you to buy it back?
seats=~$300-400
lights=$100-200
front bumper=$300
rk1's=$300
dash=$50
exhaust=$300 if repaired
dic=$50

so you could easily get $1600 for selling the most precious parts out of this car for minimal costs.

good luck getting some decent money from them if it is totaled, but hopefully its not!

Go to the insurance company with a copy of Jameson's ad and tell them how rare and expensive those cars are

I would guess buying the car back from ins might be under $500...... definantly worth asking them about because like others stated, more then likely it's totalled.

Sucks.... glad you are OK

Definantly pring off as many expensive viggens that you can find so you can try to get the most out of this incident.

Good to hear you are ok, it did what it was designed to do with that crumple zone. Hopefully your insurance buy back works out for you, its a shame someone was probably not paying attention and did that to you!
