t5 cam identification

Is there any way to identify t5 cams once they are out of the car?
One being to check and make sure they are t5 cams and #2 to figure out which one is exhaust and intake?

Exhaust cam will have the notch on the end for the distributor that doesn't exist on a t5 car. At least that's how I was able to distinguish exhaust from intake cams.

You can run part numbers on Genuinesaab.com here:

http://genuinesaab.com/pricing/

Part numbers do supercede into new numbers too.

5210-1 1256190

This is the number I got off a 93 2.1 intake cam, I am going to use the above methods to see if I can prove that.

Seems I need to find a number that starts with a 7 or 9...756146(7) looks like the final 7 in the number never made it in the stamp.

So I will conclude the last digit isn't on the cam, but since a saab part number is 7 digits long, just drop the final digit on the chart at 900Aero.com and use that to compare with your numbers.

That number you have "914562" doesn't look like it is on the chart, but yes the other number is a T5 intake cam.

where as the other one 914584 comes up with nothing... but has the notch at the end which I would think would be the exhaust but could be wong

Says it came from a B205 (T7) from 99-01. Exhaust side. It has little lift and little duration. Get money back.

Whats the other one say?

By now there should be a whole site devoted to T5 cams. LOL. I installed a set from a 93 9K. gee I hope they are advantageous. Well , they feel better but I never know.
