SMBC and CEL

I want to try a SMBC on my car, if I set it too high and get a CEL, without proper hardware to reset CEL, can i wipe the code and CEL by unplugging the battery? Does this reset the ECU?

S? Manual Boost Controller. Whats the S?

But if i set my mbc too high, it would hit fuel cut, no check engine light though.

sometimes when I was tunning the mbc on my t5 I would get a cel when I hit fuel cut. Best thing to get is a proper boost gauges before you play with an smbc

I used to have a SMBC on my Viggen. After install, I got a bunch of CELs. Kept turning it "down" until no more CELs. The I went to Saabtoberfest on a nice cold morning. CELs again. I turned it back some more. Then no more trouble.
I got rid of it when I upgraded the ECU.
