Please don't forget about:

Pros and cons?

and

Why?

I also heard R1 Concepts are cheap Chinese crap but haven't heard any actual story about its poor quality. Please provide with facts proving it.

I have R1's on my Charger and have had no issues. But at at the time R1 was the only place who made Drilled/slotted rotors for the Charger.....

Do you brake hard or auto cross?

i have the r1 concepts.. they have a good look to them, they are cheap, and they seem to work fine under hard braking on the road. idk how well they would hold up during autox. i have put some good miles on mine and i think i would buy them again

I have not had good luck with R1 drilled rotors in salty winters. The holes rust over and fill up, then the rotors stop working. If you could get them slotted only then you'd be in better shape.

I have R1 Concepts (http://www.r1concepts.com/) slotted on my Viggen. R1 Concepts start with Centric Premium rotors (http://www.centricparts.com/) which are VERY VERY good rotors...as an added bonus they are made in America/California. Keep in mind Centric also makes Stoptech brake rotors and Powerstop rotors which gives you an idea of the rotor quality. Centric Premium Rotors are double disc ground w/ tapper free machined finishes. They also have the black electrocoating (E-Coating). Basic Brembo's just are not even in the same league as Centrics

I think you have your pricing incorrect. F&R Slotted R1 Concepts for a Viggen will run you $340 shipped. F&R Slotted Brembos from GS will run you just under $300 shipped.

I personally would go with the R1s....buy them from thr R1 site posted vs.ebay because the site allows you to choose slotted, xdrilled, both or none.

I ran Brembos on my VW in the past. Good rotor too, but they are basic rotors without the coatings and machining that the Centric Premiums have and what you'll find is that the Brembos will be much more prone to rust on the hub section and on the outer radius edge of the rotor

I run R1's on my car with axxis pads and could not be happier. I have had them for close to 15k without a problem. I also had stoptech brakes on another car and that car stopped on a dime, but the calipers were huge. I have also had brembo's as well and they too were damn good. I had zimmermans on my spg and they warped after a while, but a lot of rotors do if you beat the hell of them.
