New trans mount bracket for the 2.0

Since we have had issies with the stock stamped steel part we fabricated one of tubing with more mounting points. It ties into 5 10mm bolts instead of the factory 3. Should eliminate any problems. Probably overkill but hey its actually about the same weight. Should have a production engine side bracket kit for ac delete soon. It will use 2 bolts instead of the factory single.


Ties into the top two bolts.



You can see we run off the shelf mounts even!

They were powder coating that black anyway. Sure beats spray paint. In a few minutes it is ready to run. Only has to cool off.

We are still on the single bolt engine mount. It is not a problem unless it comes loose (Cure: loctite) or is over tightened (Torque to factory spec) Until you get into this sort of level but you cant get close to the grip necessary on the road with street tires. If you let it wheel hop then all bets are off.

Are you going to be offering this trans mount bracket in the catalog? Or simply as an as needed basis for those super high output cars?

In other words, is there a need for it in say a stage 3/4 car?

hehe, it wont be the same as the manual transmission. Plus, it may be good to have a bit more flex and movement to lessen sudden jerks movements.

no. the engine mount bracket was the mount that automotion modified/ruined, not the trans mount bracket
