What do you know about the T5Boost4 Performance Upgrade. It is worth it. What are its effects?

don't bother, it is worth about 25 cents and all it does is trick your car's computer and tells it the air is colder than it really is. sounds like a bad idea to me.

I have heard that it works o.k. for what it does, but why not just spend a little extra and get an ecu that is probably safer and provides more hp/torque gain?

It is comprable to a resistor hack, for lots more. It does provide more boost, but an a/f ratio that is NOT very good. There are better mods for the money.

Actually that is not true. You are thinking of the eBay resistor off the coolant sensor. It is more of what Stalker has said. It is a resistor hack that changes the resistance off the MAP to get more boost. Independent dyno tests show that a/f ratios were not very good with the use of the T5Boost4 so for the money you spend, it is a little risky. They also state that is can't be used on the HOT version of the 9-3...interesting...

For the amount of boost you get with the T5Boost4, you will get more boost using a MBC for a lot cheaper money.
