Spark Plug?

Im going to change these for the 60k service and was wondering if anyone had an opinion as to what I should throw in. I believe the stock are NGK BCPR6ES. Has anyone tried their Vpower plug, Or anything else for that matter? Thanks in advance. The car is a 00 Vig.

I've used V-Powers on my 96 900 SET and after I changed them and my filter, I got 44mpg on a road trip to Iowa (that tank of gas laster forever )

Im now using NGK Platinums because I have a Nordic ECU. They too drastically increased the mpg, but I'm having o2 sensor problems so they didn't help as much since I need a new sensor.

I might remind you that Saabs use their sparkplugs as knock-sensors.

Maybe the change-in-shape is ok ... maybe not ... you can decide for yourself.

If you are going to stick with NGK's then dont use the 6 series use the 7-11 series instead. You will be much happier and the plug will perform better than the 6 series does.

I have run both NGK and non NGK's in my SAAB and they both ran PERFECTLY however there have been others that have had misfire issues and poor fuel economy after installing non - NGK plugs in their cars. Coould have been plug related but might not have been......who really knows.

The best bet is to stay with the 7 series NGK's and keep a gap of around 36-38mm's on it and you should be doing ok.

I plan on sticking w/ NGK but didnt plan on using the 7 series plug because I thought it wouldnt function efficiently unless I was running a modded ECU. As of now it is stock but that will change that when I finish my drive cross country next month.
