Nordic Stage 3+ ECU

Well just finished testing out my ECU from Nordic. I had to install a new Spring in my WGA. So i Cut my stock WGA open and then had to weld it back on. But as i was getting it off my rod broke, so i had to use my dads 9000 rod and then bend to how the my NG900 was. After that the Rod was shorter then had to make it loner but in the end i got it to work.

The turn out was Crazy. Full boost does not come on till about 3500, def no sooner at all. If your in 5th gear and going 65 then floor it your not going anyware fast you always have to downshift. Kind of a new way of Driving.

1st Gear- the wills just spin
2nd Gear - Hang on crazy torque Steer wheels spin a little towards upper RPMs
3rd Gear - Needle pins all the way into the red and all the sudden your at 95mph
4th Gear - Have not tried
5th Gear - Have not tried

Def doing suspnsion next and VRK. Well i belive this is the first nordic T5 ECU we have reviewed. So far no install problems with the ECU or any problems unlike some of maptuns. I will see when i can get to a dyno and post up a sheet.

Nordic ECU packaging

snow4_1man,

What kind of packaging does the ECU come with?

Do you have to buy all of the components to make it work? Or can you just buy the stage ECU you need with your car's particular setup?

Well i have bought all my other parts befor hand then received the ECU. I did not go though a distrubtor for the ECU so i cant say if some other company would offer a package deal. I i know nick has packages for T7 i don;t know about T5. My software is custom tuned from nordic ( Thanks to Robert and Magnus for all your help) kind of inbetween stage 3 and 4 thats why i just put 3+. The only thing that i did not have was a Spring for my WGA. Other then that, nothing elase came with my ECU, Except -- Well lets just watch our for Cedrics car now also.

Nick at Genuine who is the US Distributor for Nordic is selling them at $550 w/ a core charge.. for the T5. The T7 is a bit more.

Nice vid! Probably around 225 whp on a dynojet. In 3 seconds your car went from 71 mph to 89 mph ... my car would only get to 88 mph in the same interval.

Not too shammy.

Me and my buddy and heading down into mass in a few weeks to dyno, he's doing his porsche and I am going to strap my Viggen down again just for Ha-Ha's, since I don't anticipate having any additional work done when I dyno again.

I have a 1998 900 SET. The SRS light is on because I got into an accident and the airbags when off. I have a new Steering wheel to replace the old one, but waiting on some money to put a screen where the passenger side airbag went. Also my bumper is kinda fucked up so, it’s not the prettiest looking Saab right now.

TurboRush91 there is a Dyno in Concord, so you would not have to go to MA. Its $75 for three runs http://www.performance-dyno.com/
