after a few hours of trying to get the open tune to work and talking the the tech's on the phone, the open tune system will not work on a t5 saab even if it is a +96'. so its really a waste of money to get. they said that they should have updates for the sabbs by the end of the week, but i looked on the forums on their site and they told that to someone about his 9k over 2 months ago! owell, if it worked it would have been great.
Weird. I can do live sensor logging with my AutoTap, it's OBDII/USB and I use it on my T-5 9-3 and my T-7 9-5 with no issues, whatsoever. Sampling rates aren't great, especially if you try to run more than say 4-5 channels.
well innovate came up with a beta version for saabs. thanks to all who made this work out. i got an email from the guys at innovate saying how they thought it was funny that when it didnt work for a saab 3000 miles away all i had to do was post about and someone near then went in so they could do some test. to bad every car group was not like this.
so once i get the new version ill let you guys know how it goes.
Actually, I got lost, went southbound from the freeway offramp - instead going uphill; hence, it became a 30 minute drive from where I live.
Aero02 (Aeronaut at the Innovate forum) forwarded the thread regarding the OT1 no-communication. Told jjf (Innovate programmer) that if there is another OT1 no-communication related to a OBD II T5 then he can just contact me. Hopefully, that should fix the problem.
Now, go get some . . . data . . . that is . . .
