JR springs
was just dream shopping on partsforsaabs.com and noticed the JR springs on the site. quite a buy at $178, however i am weary of buying springs from a manufacurer that specializes in air filters

Stick with the Eibachs. I have the KIT with the shocks as well. I also recommend the 6pt sub-frame brace from www.genuinesaab.com. Best suspension piece I have bought, hands down.

JR sprins have been rated pretty decent by most that use them. I think they are probably alot like the Spax springs that are sold in Europe. I do hear that the JR' are prone to some sagging in the rear more than Eibachs but for the price you can't hardly beat it.

sounds sketchy to me. do it right the first time and you won't have to do it a second time. me personally, I would stick with Eibach or H&R. I would rather pay a little more and only pay once. I would not want to be the gineau pig unless they were for free, and even then I would have reservations.

I am not positive but a guy on the Neon forum I visit said the JR springs were made by Intrax and were offered to the Euro crowd since most people link Intrax to rice.

I have never heard of too many bad things from Intrax springs. You can get them for $179 on Ebay for the SAAB 9-3's. They drop the car 1.4 inches where the Eibachs only do a 1.2 inch drop. I do hear the Eibachs when combined with the Koni adjustables make a great combination to ride on.

I am just saying, I read over 400 reviews of H&R, Eibach, and Intrax on epinions.com and by far, H&R had the least negative reviews. But many people swear by Eibach, even though there were quite a few people complaing the car was titled to one side or the other.... Intrax had the worst stories of cars being undriveable, sagging too far and riding the bumpstops/too low and things getting damaged.
If you have Intrax and they have worked out for you, I am glad to hear you did not have troubles like some of those other folks. it could just be a case of people shouting when something is wrong, but not bothering to even whisper if they are pleased... you know?

You know it is always possible that they are crap. I know that Eibach is the spring that BMW and Mercedes use a version of Eibachs on them for stock sport suspension so I have been sold on them for a while. I think that the drop is a little too much for me with the JR and INtrax's and the HR's since I am only looking to do a 1 to 1.2 inch drop on my car.
