VT HEVT Engine Pictures

So it's a little in the early-going for us. Right now we're looking at getting a whole bunch of parts that were missing when we got our front clip from the junkyard. Actually, we're also looking at getting a few spares just in case something goes wrong. If anyone knows of a good source for lots of Saab parts, we'd appreciate it. Without further ado, here are some photographs of the front clip and engine taken in our Ware Lab at school:

I withdraw my previous question - I saw your initial post - looks like a great idea! I can't wait myself to see this come along and I wish you all best of luck! When you prove sucessful - contact Saab USA and inform them of what you have done - see if you can make yourselves known and work on a production version if all works! That would deffanatly be awesome to see as a optioned engine with Saab - not only safe - but clean!

I am far from being an expert, but isn't that a T7? Or at least it has some of the attributes of a T7. The intake to the throttle body is one piece of plastic, It looks like a TD04 turbo, the valve cover says "ecopower" and there's some piping along the valve cover that isn't there on my T5. If this is the case, the red DI cassette is incorrect for the car. Since I can't see the hex bolts that attach the DI to the valve cover, it could be assumed that it is there by mistake. How and why, I really coudn't say.

Conversely, the DI could be correct, and someone swapped out valve covers and changed their intake piping.

I'm not positive, but IMHO, I think it is a T7.

Thats just the wrong DI casette It is a T7.

it is clearly stated in the other post that car this was taken from is a 2001 9-3

though i dont believe it to be a viggen turbo it looks kinda small in comparison
