Anyone here with Innovate OT-1?

Hey guys, I am about ready to order the Innovate Motorsports OT-1 OBDII/CAN interface:

I've always liked Innovate products and have always heard good things about them, but the I read on their forum that someone was having trouble getting this OT-1 to work with his SAAB (T-5, if I understood correctly), and one other person chimed in with the same issue (also T-5):

Anyone have any first hand experience with OT-1, specifically for a T-7 application?

I already ordered an Innovate LC-1 wideband controller with an XD-16 gauge. Nick T, I think you have the same wideband setup - what do you use for datalogging? Reccomendations? What datalogging interface does everyone else use?

All input is appreciated. BTW, I have an '01 9-3 SE.

I guess no one's running this yet.

For the curious, I did get to talk with Innovate today and they acknowledged some bugs with this new product. He said they were in the middle of resolving a major one right now, and that he expects they'll come out with updated firmware "by the end of the week" that should resolve issues for "99% of the cars out there."

I'll keep tabs on this over on the Innovate forums.

Vigge and myself run the innovate auto-box and that gives up to 32 paremters and I run a/f, boost, egt and rpm...

I record my runs through my laptop computer, but I also have the portable
Lm1 that can record info, but I just use the computer to save and play with recorded files....

I think mainly the intent is to use a laptop as an output interface (virtual gauges) and for datalogging, but you can also hook up the Innovate XD-16 gauge to show any sensor readings. The main drawback I see with the XD-16 is it only shows 3 digits. For my wideband application it'll do the job, though.

Cool. That's the DL-32, right? Can't you store log data directly onto the SD card, without the LM-1?

I was hoping this OT-1 would be a lower cost datalogging option, but I would still need EGT, which is already part of the DL-32's onboard sensor package. Hmmm, more to think about...

LM-3 is the product John and I have and you cannot connect 32 channels to it, since it only has 5-inputs...
Unlike the OT-1 the LMA, DL, SSI is wired directly to the sensors. The OT however plugs into the OBD port but does work with the T5, but dont know if they will have support for it later but will function with T7. The re-fresh rate through OBD in saabs is not that fast and therefore that product does not offer much more than a conventional obd logger, especially if you dont have innovate WO2 or other innovate products to record data into the same log file. The DL and the LMA are delired with a thermocouple wire, but it cannot be used for EGT, you need capsulsed thermocouple for that.
