Looks very cool. I've heard of some guys in Sweden going this, but it would be great if the practice could be simplified enough for the average joe.

Agreed, I would be all over this. My car-guy friend would poop themselves when they saw IAT displayed on the SID. What a useful diagnostic tool, and so clean.

you have to have a computer in the car interpreting the CAN signals and telling the sid what to do.

If someone could build a microprocessor that just does this, they might sell.

Ok this popped up on SC a while ago. From what I remember seeing its T7 only and has to be unlocked in the ECU (i.e. during tuning). Apparently during T7's development it was a way for the engineering guys to get real time data to adapt parameters on the go.

Entirely doable with a small device... development costs would far outweigh sales revenue, though.

There is a standalone box that will do something similar but with the addition of logging.. Not sure I can post the video yet though. Looks really nice assuming you have a good sid display.

Is that true or jsut lore... I think it was Dr Boost ( the Saab engineering guy) who said it was in the ecu. If so why cant;l th eECU project guys figure this one out.. now that would be something
