So it's time for the next mod, to the viggen. Currently it's got the GS intake and Forge BPV should the next mod be FMIC or Downpipe and if DP is it worth it to go with the V2 over the V1? I was kind of leaning towards the FMIC due to the fact that I feel like I experience heat soak quickly already and i think a DP would just contribute to that....opinions
I'd do the FMIC first as it will make the turbo more effiecient than the DP. A more effiecient turbo is a cooler running and longer lasting turbo b/c it needs to produce less boost.
then when you do the DP it will be that much better and more fun. Plus if you get the FMIC you will be that much more motivated to make the car go faster.
well i think the dp you will notice everytime you drive the car, and the intercooler only when your really winding out the gears. what is the condition of your stock dp? if it needs to be replaced, its a good excuse to do both
no one cares about usability or how long that extra power will last when heatsoak sets in? geeze. yes it gives instant gratification but think of it this way. you do the FMIC you really don't see any return other than getting power longer. that will motivate you that much more to save the money to get the extra power the DP offers and you end up with that quicker and then with the FMIC it works better and longer.
Having just installed my 3" inch DP on the Silver NG...
My vote is for DP...
I used to stall up hills that the car now idles up...
I've done the IC before and its a great upgrade... but the DP is a wow! Where the IC is ... ah ha...
