The sound of the saabsport exhaust

My friend add I was just watching some clips of 9-3's/ng900's with the ss exhaust and I said that it kinda sounds like an SRT-4. My friend disagrees and said that the sound quality on the videos were really bad. My question is, what car does it sound the most similar to in person?

An SRT.

Both are 4 cylinder cars, with (somewhat) decently sized turbos.

The saab sounds a bit less like a motorboat though.

yea, youre right. Its as burbly/poppy as a SRT4 but a bit smoother. Pretty much what Palmer said.

Depends on whether or not you have one resonator or two resonatos on the saab sport but I ran alongside two srt-4's this weekend and deffinitely didn't think either of our cars sounded close.

IMO the SS sounds more refined than the SRT. However SS without a cat is a whole different story, but still sounds good

The local car club where I live has TONs of SRT-4s. I think they are bar-none the worst sounding car ever. A Saab with a SaabSport exhaust sounds NOTHING even remotely like it in real life. I get comments ever single time I go to a meet on how awesome my SaabSport exhaust sounds.

I was running an Abbott Racing Catless 2.5" DP and the SS, I have been complimented on the sound many times. When engine braking you do get the burble like the SRT's but not the same noise...like mentioned before, its more refined.

I dont have a saab sport, but i tend to hear that my car sounds a lot like an evo. srt-4's are pretty distinctive sounding to me, and a saab just cant quite do it.
