It will perform fine and I'm sure it will sound decent.

How it will look is another story.

You can get away with a muffler like that on a Suby but on a Saab, it just doesn't work. I say sell it and get yourself a nice Magnaflow.

Your thread title is offensive, and insulting.

I'm changing it.

And yes, magnaflow.

Summit racing has many, at good prices.

Okay ,found this (magnaflow) dirt cheap:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=7023

only problem ,not gonna fit ,both inlet and outlet are in center (or maybe i'm wrong?)

see photo (found on google)

solution 2 - thrush turbo muffler for free ,my friend just upgraded his exhaust.
looks like is going to fit perfectly but dont know if will flow much better than stock.(900set)

That should be able to fit, i'd measure your distance underneath before you run out of space (i'm trying to describe this well lol) you wouldn't want to have to mount it on an angle to clear your axle/wheel well.

Be careful of the twin tips there. not sure it will fit out the hole, but if youre brave, widening is a possibility.

go to summit or check with GS. Not to offend but do you have a certain affection for coffee cans? it seems that the magnaflow you found is a coffee can as well. Granted not the carbon fiber that the other one has or the massive 4" outlet but still very coffee can ish. i say get a good Saab Sport and leave the coffee to the Civics and ricers.

I don't think the Magnaflow looks ricey at all....according to the link specs it's 3" in and 3" out (w/ Twins it would be not bad.) I think that could look really hot if it was setup well.

The Carbon exhaust, now that's rice.

The SaabSport is very similar to the Magnaflow in that it's a round can, but I think it's 6" can, 2.5" core, 2.5 in/out, center-center.

i suppose i may not have looked at the full look of the magnaflow. i personally like the Oval outlets. That is what i have on the saabsport. yeah the magnaflow is very similar just a little bigger. scratch the previous comment. however the 4" pipe is so rice it needs chopsticks...

I have the muffler on my C900, and I used to have it on my old 9-3. I had a 2.5" in and out though...I also removed my center resonator.

Click for Sound.

the whole point of this is to save money for ecu ,i dont think that for stage 3 (ordering soon) bigger exhaust is needed.Stock with hi flow muffler will do the job or at least thats my opinion.
what do you think?
should i drop $400+ for 2.5" catback or save money and spend <$100 on hi-flow muffler

anything worth doing is worth doing right. spend the $400+ on the catback and then save for the ecu. if you have all the other components first the ecu will be that much better. Also remove the resonator and depending upon year of car and emissions where yo are hollow out or remove the cat.
