Nitrous On A Viggen

Was just wondering if anyone has tried putting nitrous on a SAAB? Its seems like cheap power but wonder if my motor would be strong enough as i have heard the 2000 viggen motors are not that strong? In terms of wheelspin i would obviously only activate the NOS from 3rd gear. Good idea

Nitrous is not rice. Ask a any hot-rodder.

NOS overnight from Japan is rice.

NOS=Nitrous delivery system.

Anywho, I would see how you like your ECU tune.

I am looking forward to my ecu tune cause my car is basically stock and is making more power and torque than any other daily drive SAAB here in S.A. My mates M3 smg stock is making 215kw and 346nm whereas my car makes 202kw and 458nm on the motor on the same dyno on the same day. Dont get me wrong, i really am happy with my car, just dreaming about more power

i guess i've seen fast and the furious too many times to be able to picture NOS anyway else. my other distinct memory is going to a show this summer (they close of mainstreet for a day, vendors, carshow fireworks etc) and amongst the cobra'a and mustangs, and classic vw's (all very nicely restored cars) there was this total redneck driving a rusted out POS trans am or something, original engine all worn out, looked like rats lived in the interior, BUT he had a chrome air cleaner and a giant tank of NOS hooked up in the trunk. saddest thing i've ever seen.

Nitrous would be a great way to have a very subtle daily driver but you could literally flip the switch and its a new beast.

Isn't nitrous a much more volatile way of doing a water/meth injection. It cools down the intake too right?

Where did Jak inject his? Direct port, manifold, delivery pipe?

EDIT: "The gas itself is not flammable, but it delivers more oxygen than atmospheric air by breaking down at elevated temperatures, allowing the engine to burn more fuel and air and resulting in more powerful combustion. Nitrous oxide is stored as a compressed liquid; the evaporation and expansion of liquid nitrous oxide in the intake manifold causes a large drop in intake charge temperature, resulting in a denser charge, further allowing more air/fuel mixture to enter the cylinder. The lower temperature can also reduce detonation." -Wikipedia

So its not actually (in)flammable alone, its all about the reaction.

On a Viggen, a ECU, DP, and Intercooler is PLENTY of power for a dd. Just keep in mind you can't even go WOT in the first two gears because of traction woes.
