If it takes 2 minutes or 59 minutes...

They are going to want an hour's worth of your wallet.

Bring a 6'er, show up at 4:50... with the glovebox out and a smile on your face.

Yep the previous post is right..... 2 to 3 minutes at best... 10 at worst if the tech is taking his sweet time.

Good point. NickT, any thoughts on the aforementioned strategy?

Also why can't you just get the tuner to make it run the car with info from your ecu?

If a dealership or person has already charged extra per use of the tech2 (or any special tool) to cover the cost of said tool, should they still be able to say "well we had to buy this thing for $xx moneys." Shouldn't it just be straight time after that?

While you're there, ask how much they charge for a 4-wheel alignment done on a Hunter computer.

Of course, you can drive down to Shaw and have one done for $125 -- on special.

There's a special at Central Saab in Norwood: two wheel alignment for $69.99. Dunno what all four will cost you, but I'd guess a bit higher than $120

Hey! With a coupon, you can get one done at Patrick Saab in Auburn for $90. (But the coupon expired March 3 )

No, its just that for a 4 wheel alignment $120 is a pretty darn good price for it.
Pretty much the bottom end of the industry standard.

but on a 9000 you only do front wheel alignment, unless you want shims or bend the axle.

so that is double what it should be.

....That's not defensive....just helpful.

I figured since you might appreciate what could be found by using The Google on the internets to get a gauge on actual competitive pricing.

Is the car in question lowered and potentially running more negative camber than a stock height car?

ya but that shouldn't matter. i have had more old car with 4 wheel alignment done right after it got lowered more then 2.5" for the same price, and fieldsc went to another place and got it done for cheaper.

They probably left the rear camber alone and unshimmed and only did the front....

Getting it done somewhere else cheaper is always an option, as is getting it done by someone who has tracked a race-prepped 9000 for 4-5 years....

Life is full of choices....
