Exclamation ETS intercooler or Forge?

I have a 2001 viggen, and am in the market for a new intercooler, and was wondering which intercooler was most recommended.

The Forge Perfomance intercooler from genuinesaab or the ETS?

So far mods are a new turbo, wastegate, and cobra intake pipe from a 2007 9-5 AERO engine, genuine saab open air intake, engine and transmission mounts, stage 3 carbon race clutch, 6pt subframe brace, rear sway bar, and steering brace & rack, in the near future i will be putting on headers/dp/camshafts/forged pistons/full 3' straight race exhaust.

The ETS gives you the ability to run full 2.5" from intake to throttle body. Most other "drop in" intercoolers use the stock piping.

Some will say the stock piping is fine, others will disagree.

What power goals are you shooting for?

Either one is a great upgrade. Id probably go ETS

I would recommend 3" turboback before IC though.

Power Goal: around 350-400hp
and turboback is the next thing on our list, but the car was damaged in the front so the IC is f****d.

Those work very well.

You will need a manifold spacer. Also you will have to modify the AC compressor bracket if you plan to keep the AC.

Let me know if you need pictures.

Yes we do reply quickly. The ETS sounds like what you need. It does require a small modification to the bumper rail to get it to fit but that only takes a hammer with a rouned end to take care off.

another question, what do you think about dropping in an engine from a 2006 9-5 and modding that, any problems other than maybe with the ECU?

Keep the Viggen engine.
If you swap it out go for the B234R, which is in the 1994-1998 9000 Aero.
