Upgraded Rear Engine Mount.

I have seen people do solid rear mounts and I have heard how rough they are to deal with. Today I clicked on a thread on SC and saw a post about engine mounts and I saw that Nick from GS recommended the diesel rear engine mount as an upgrade for petrol engines! Who would have thought it?!?!

Saw that too, might be a good uprgade. I made a solid one, it was by far the worst thing i've ever done to a car.

Anyone else have another source for this part? Also I wonder if any of the other diesel mounts would work on petrol engine...?

How do they compare to the standard units? Are these really meant for 300whp cars? I have both of your mounts tranny/front motor on a 250 whp car. Just wondering and I have no idea about this. Your two mounts made a world of difference.

Only the diesel rear is used. It is harder for the heavier engine. Tuned for lower revs and different vibration.

I was talking to one of my many car guy buddies who also happens to run his own performance shop and he seemed to think the rear mount would have the most effect on engine movement control. He was surprised that there wasn't something to address that. Now I can tell him otherwise. Once I install the top polly engine mount and tranny mount I will see how things feel from there and maybe upgrade the rear... Who knows once I get under the car I will be able to tell that the rear needs some love anyway. Nick how does the diesel rear mount change the feel of shifting and engine motion? What about vibration levels? When will you have these for sale? Will they be listed on your site? I know I am full of questions
