VIGGEN going STG. 3

so i finally convinced my ex to get her car staged. she is going to do nordic stg. 3. but i have some questions, she doesn't have a 3" dp the stock dp on the viggen is 2.5", pretty sure, should she be fine for the time being. anyone think the EGT's would get to high? also i noticed on genuines website that you get a 3.5 fpr with stg. 3, but when you look at the 3.5 fpr they say it is for special tunes does she need this?

yes, you need a FPR, look at the stage package, it tells you exactly what you need.

I wouldn't run it without the exhaust components though

Both of these could best be answered from Nick... but, from what I know:

1. You can run the downpipe for now, the ecu should adjust nicely.

2. I don't think that the 3.5 fpr is needed for stage 3.

thats why i had the question stg. 3 says 3.5 fpr comes with it. but when looking at the fpr it says for special tunes thus the confusion.

they just put that on the FPR page so people don't buy an FPR and slap it on a stock t7 car, and expect it to run OK. It's not an upgrade unless you have an ECU programmed to use it correctly.

You definitely need it with the nordic tunes for viggens.
