3 inch downpipe from genuinesaab.com or jakstollperformance.com and either a 2.5 saabsport catback/similar system or a custom made 3 inch cat back to go with the the 3 inch downpipe.

Eitherway you'll spend more than $350 unless you forgo the 3 inch downpipe but I wouldn't suggest doing that.

Have the center resonator/muffler removed and weld a straight pipe in place. Its SUPER cheap to do and makes a nice difference in sound w/o being annoying. It won't do much if anything for performance but it will give you a nice bump in the sound track when you press the gas.

Electric exhaust cut out. You can adjust it in the car, you will basically open a huge hole in your exhaust whever you put it. The car will sound like a stock car. It also may not be legal.

I'd sell you my JT 3" catback for 350, but i'd need your stock catback back.

all of thoes things will work to make your car sound good unless its NA then if you strait pipe it or put 3 inch exhaust it will sound just like the dam hondas, my friend put 2 1/2 inch strait pipe on his 95 900 NA and it souded like crap, unless it has a turbo i wouldnt really mess with it. on my NA car i got away with is all i have is a cold air factory exhaust untill my rear muffler i went with a cherrybom muffler (it was the cheepest thing they had at the time) i had to replace it cause the stock one was roting away and it sounds pretty good for a NA car. thats just my 2 cents on the subject

I concur.

Have the resonator cut out and a pipe put in. Sounds really nice.

I did that on my old gen 9-3.

Or just sell it and buy a diesel truck and put straight pipes on it.

Or buy a Porsche. But not a 944 or a 914, a real one.

The 944 and 914 are real track weapons though... I get that they are a VW/Porsche hybrid aka poor mans Porsche but nothing can take away from their performance ability.

Is there a reason you are getting rid of this? Are you going back to stock or just want a stock exhaust...?

I'm still wondering why the Cayenne is a "real Porsche" and the 944 and 914 aren't...

It actually has a VW counterpart, too.... rather than just being a joint-collaboration...

I had a 914 years ago and that fake PORSCHE ate almost every real porsche at auto-x events. But yeah, it was pretty much a suped-up vw.

Anyway, back on topic: I'd definitely echo Nahum; go for the Saab Sport catback, possibly with the addition of a downpipe. The catback alone will give you a really nice tone. A downpipe with a racecat will make it a little edgier and louder.

Thats my point the 944 and 914 are REAL track weapons! If that doesn't qualify it for Porsche status I don't know what does...

To hear the turbo better go with an open air intake / blowoff valve and maybe a boost controller. This should be around $325 total.

EDIT: Didnt see price limit.
