Tuned.

so as some of you may know, i had jak throw a mild tune into my T7 9-3 at soc. it's nothing wild, just a chill stage 2 with a 6500rpm rev limit. i have a 3" dp to install whenever i get the time, but until then all the hardware is bone stock except for a cone filter.

so, i plugged in the tuned box, fired the car up and off i went. no misfires, no CEL, no bullshit. just a nice smooth powerband and total stock drivability (barring some extra torquesteer ) i had the wrong plugs for this in at soc and the car still pulled nice and hard and averaged 31mpg through the course of my 500 mile drive home - and i wasn't babying it either.

today i put the proper plugs in and gapped them accordingly. i brought a tech 2 home with me and monitered misfires, knock, deviations and other things as well as periodically checking for dtc's. everything is spot on perfect.

not trying to start a war or anything negative like that. i'm just pretty stoked about this as i've never owned a tuned trionic car before, so i figured i'd share.

I'm "tuned" right now.

JK had a great drive home with his JSP stage 5. His car is nasty.

Glad to hear you like yours!

I think a 3" DP was waiting for him when he got home.

So he made it what, 6 months before the car was modded?

fuck.

Right.

Yep, and then the stage 2 will get boring. Then a new IC will show up. Then an intake, and then, hell you already have most of the stuff for a stage 4, so why not, right?

Then a SPEC clutch will be needed, and a suspension setup.

I can see it all now.

:P

Just for reference, there are a LOT of really poor foot attire choices in this photo.

For the record, I was barefoot.

Also, it's a saab convention. What did you expect?

Plus, not everyone can afford your taste in jeans, or brown, sligtly pointed, yet square-toed footware.

Barefoot is fine.

Teva's FTL

Leather two strapped sandals are only allowed if you are wearing wool socks and a blazer...and obviously, driving a Saab.

The shoes you are describing are $60, not exactly extravagant.

Now come over and trim my lawn. I have a mower but no trimmer/edger.

Also, if I have a bbq at my house, no random wedding bs. Ok?

No promises.

I have a weed-whacker with an edging function. It cost me 60 bucks, not exactly extravagant.

Socks with sandals FTL.

Thats kinda what I said when I got my first boost gauge that read 20psi. "There is no way I am going to put that much money into this car." That was when I bought a simple MBC+A and K&N filter to go with the airbox mod.

Then the exhaust

Then the DP

Then the Viggen IC

Then Stg 3 (oh this is it, I am tuned, I am done)
ps shit my boost gauge doesnt read high enough...time for a new one

Oh, sweet deal on a TD04....

another tune, bigger ic...

I gave up telling myself that when I bought the TD04.

"Stage 4"

But anyway, it worked well, also have the wrong plugs in there for the time being (correct plugs, but too old, and not gapped in two oil changes).

I'll post about mine when I get time to change the plugs and clean the BPC. Until then, it goes really good, but there might be a little more in it.
