Silicone Vacuum Lines

Since I am starting to modify the engine, I was thinking and I think it would be a good idea to replace all the lines with silicone. What are the benefits of silicone over OEM?

Silicone will last longer, not become brittle as rubber.

Longer lasting is the primary benefit.

Just remember silicone doesn't mix with oil/fuel so you can only really use it for vaccum lines, turbo/ic couplers and coolant lines.

But at the same time, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Besides, the important ones on the BPC and whatnot are silicone already.

Yes, this is true.

But it's good for the n00bs to learn to search. I search tons, and typically I can understand if you can't find info on saablink, and if that's the case you are very likely to find it on saabcentral.

On a side note:

Am I still considered a n00b?
