GS Wastegate Actuator

This will hold the boost better, right? Any other benefits?

it just stops the wastegate from blowing open at high boost cause the old spring can't hold it back, you will feel more hp up top.

You don't need it - only for if your is broken, or if you are going to be running very high boost (ie tuned ECU).

Yes, but it's only needed if you're at stage 3 or above on the TD04

I have SQR stage 4 tune and the TD04 Viggen turbo. My actuator is the original from 2000. Would it benefit me to replace the actuator? I already have this unit new in the box (Forge unit )containing the base boost spring (green).

Yeah I'm pretty sure its just for the t25 since this turbo wasnt designed for as much boost. I have never had any isses with my td04 WG holding boost.

the t25 spring is just a spring that gets welded into the wastegate, from what i understand. This would be a replacement/upgrade? for the TD04.

They are not for upgrades (except Stg3 T25 manuals) but as cheaper than factory replacements.
