I can has intake!!

So, 'dukted's intake showed up in the mail today. I believe there is some of BB's kitty kronic in the box, b/c Chuck went insane when I came back in the house.

The instructions are in Swedish, but I think I can figure 'em out. w00t!

Yeah, I called my dad to ask if he could read Swedish (you never know, right?) and he said the same thing. Oh well. 'Dukted told me there are English instructions somewhere on the Intarwebz, so I'm gonna print 'em out and then head down to Dad's to install it (he has tools, I don't).

Cool, when and if you get it installed, we need pictures to see how the installation is different from the English one.

Instructions? We don't need no stinking instructions.

This little asshole ate the Swedish instructions while we were trying to retrieve some dropped parts, so we had to wing it.

My lovely assistants:

We had to take the splash guard off to retrieve one of the spacers, I dropped it into the middle of nowhere. That ate up a good hour and a half of time. (Shortly after this pic was taken, the instructions blew away and Killer ate them)

I don't know what I can say about it other than UNNST UNNST.

Chuck is enjoying the budz.

Maybe it will help control his uncontrollable nausea. Wouldn't that suck, after sinking $700 into xrays, scope, rx food...

Thanks for the awesome deal, Dan!

BOV will cause a world of shit with T7.

Unless you're Nick Taliaferro and have the magic touch.

In good time... first Chuck needs surgery and both our cars need tires & brakes.

What I do want to do, when I have the money lying around, is upgrade the suspension, and maaaaybe add some go-fast bits. But again, cost-restrictive for now.

check out the spring cuttting thread. you may actually be able to lower your car and improve handling for nothing. according to what some say it works well. for the suspension i went with springs from GS and it works beautiful..

1. Remove the hose between the air pipe and the mass air flow meter (MAF).
2. Remove the ventilation valve (?) from the air filter box.
3. Remove the contact/powercord from the MAF.
4. Remove the air filter box, 3 mounting points.
5. Remove the MAF from the air filter box and remove the rubber seal.
6. Transfer the MAF to the Opti-plate. Turn the MAF so that it fits in the hole in the plate. Mind the direction of flow through the MAF, see picture 7. Remount with original clip (or ring, hard to translate) and supplied distance (washer?) and screw-thingie
7. Mount the opti-plate in original seatings
8. Remount the contact to the MAF
9. Remount the ventilation valve
10. Mount the air filter
11. Mount the hose between MAF and air pipe.
if you did this, you did it right. sorry I didn't get these to you before your install.
enjoy the intake.
