What should I do?

I have a '01 9-3SE 5spd. and was wondering if I should get just the 3"dp/race cat first, then the 2.5" piping later. Would that be good or should I wait until I have the money for the whole thing?
I already have the Intake, and after exhaust, I will have the MP intercooler

Exhaust should be done from the Turbo on back. Not the back to the turbo. So go with a downpipe and stock exhaust for now. Then upgrade the exhaust later.

Meh, I did the 2.5" saab sport cat-back before doing the 3" GS DP, and I turned out decently okay.

Downpipe will help with spool up but a saabsport will add noticeable sound.
so its a matter of what you want first.

Youll see the biggest gains from the DP, do that first. The stock exhaust is good for some pretty serious power.

down pipe is the way to go for the start, it will help the turbo perform better, and the stock exhaust can handle the rest just fine till you upgrade.

So it would be ok getting the MP Intercooler with only the DP/RC and Intake in? My stock exhaust is getting noticably worn out. My goal is to have SaabSport by Spring, just want something new to get excited about before then.

The intercooler on its own will probably not show too much of a gain without software. It will cool better than the stock one, so you might see some gain in hot weather...but not as much as if you had a T5 car, or a tuned car.

Also, the stock exhaust tubing is roughly 2.5" anyway, just a bit smaller - FYI. And the stock mufflers/resonators are "straight through," meaning no restricting chambers or baffles.
