Anyone know if the old MP Performance ...

.... three inch downpipe is interchangeable between a 5 speed ' 97 900 SET and an automatic '99 9-3 SE?

Nope, pretty sure they are not. Ricot had trouble fitting his MP onto his auto 9-3 (2001)

everyone has trouble fitting MP's downpipe..... period

but i agree with stromer, IIRC there needs to be a particular dent in the pipe, or a bend, that MP's didnt have, so they dont fit the automatic's.

They do in fact fit the Automagics.... my car is living proof! Have been running one for 3 years now. The fit is not 100% the best but as long as it is not one of the 1st 25 or so it will fit fine.

I would suggest before installing it take it to a muffler shop and have them take 1/2 off the pipe where it meets the Turbo flange so that you dont end up with a small dent in the DP like mine from the trans case ear.
