Gettin 'r done for SOC

Now that I decided I'll be going to SOC this yr, I figured its a good excuse to get the Talladega looking good. So yesterday morning I packed up some things...

There's a little rust on each rear quarter (the usual spot towards the bottom, in the weld behind the small piece of trim) along with a rust crack developing on the front edge of the hood.

So rear quarters, hood, front/back bumpers, and mirror covers all getting repainted.

I've got some other stuff I'm gonna do, but that's for later..

So what else is everyone doing to get their rides ready for SOC??

nice! but where's your custom upholstered front seats?

my bumpers, front especially, just dont have that depth anymore. clean bumpers just showcase the car better, and i have a private guy doing it for a fraction of the cost of a bodyshop.

Hmmm, I put the seats on hold. Found this deal for 120 (all seats and door cards)and couldn't pass it up at the chance to have a finished car!!

I am so tired of having the saab in pieces!!

Are you going to caravan with the crew from Saab club Canada down to SOC?

Yep. I know myself and at least a couple of others are doing the thurs-sun romp. Don't know about the rest, but I'm sure we'll start coordinating something on the SOCC board soon. Are you driving alone or others with you? Lets coordinate something.

Looking great as always, Muf. That car is one of the best looking NGs on the board. Yours and slaabr's have always been my favorites.

thx thom..but..
uh oh...

just got off the phone with the travel agent, he hasn't been able to confirm anything yet for returning on my south east asia trip so far, but he gave me the option of stopping over for several days in tokyo...which would be amazing..only problem is i don't get back until Aug 23..meaning i'd be misssing out on SOC. hopefully, he can come up with another option, but i'm seriously considering the extra time travelling vs SOC....
thoughts?

I will be in the neck of the woods certainly, but I am not sure how much my SOC participating will be, just because of financial restraints.
