Viggen suspension q's- MP subframe brace-worth it?

I am going to order the MP clamp and rack brace, and rear sway . I am on the fence with the subframe brace however. I hear it may cause issues with certain downpipes(which I intend to get). Is the differance with it that noticable? I am looking to stiffen the chassis asmuch as possible. I am in the process of making a custom aluminum and CF rear strut bar to limt hatch flex, so I want the front end to be equally as tight. Shoulf I get the sub brace, and go with a custom downpipe(which I haven;t ruled out yet) or should I just save the dough because it's not really much differance? Any input gentlemen?

As far as the clamp and brace, I haven't heard of any feedback about them from MP specifically, but from other companies like Taliaferro it is said to REALLY help. Some go as far to say its the best mod on their car. I'd imagine it'd be the same for MP since its the same design and for the same purpose.

As far as the sub frame brace....yes it will rub against a 3" downpipe. Some people solved this problem by just adding a spacer and using longer bolts. I don't see why this wouldn't work

i heard that it does rub with the downpipes as well.....you should ask MP Performance about a rear strut tower bar, i think they might have one in progress cause i looked on the site a few weeks ago and it said they might be making one, but then they updated the site and all the info is gone, so its worth a shot unless ur custom strut tower bar wont be too hard to make. Also you want the rear stiffer than the front in a fwd car for traction reasons.

Huh? If you're talking about stiffening up the rear to avoid squat when you floor the throttle, a strut bar won't do a single bit of good. All it does is preserve suspension geometry under hard cornering, when one strut is loaded much more heavily than the other.

If you wanted to "stiffen" to avoid squat under throttle, you'd want to stiffen the springs in the rear, not the strut bar.

...If you increase the roll stiffness or spring stiffness. Adding a strut bar will do that to a small extent, but it's main purpose is just to maintain geometry, not specifically to increase roll stiffness. If your suspension is so sloppy that adding a rear strut bar dramatically increases oversteer, then you've got problems!

On the other hand, adding a rear anti-roll or anti-sway bar (a part designed specifically to increase roll stiffness) will change the under/oversteer balance much more noticeably.

If you want to do something with the rear suspension to increase traction under power (i.e. to keep the wheels from spinning at a hard launch) then neither of the above will do that, you'll need to stiffen the springs to increase the fore/aft stiffness and prevent squat.
