234 Viggen

Wassup gents. I acquired a sweet Thanksgiving present from a friend this past week. I stuffed a fully built 234 from a 9000 into the back of the viggen and drove it home sagging ass to WI from CO. The long block came with a GT3071 and GS top mount goodies.

The PO of the motor, a very good friend, had it built for his ng900, but never got it running quite properly. Idle was always screwy and it ran pretty rich. The ng900 started as a mototronic car which was converted to T5. I'm under the naive assumption that wiring/electrical had something to do with those gremlins. Fingers crossed.

I dropped a t5 turbo intake manifold and a spare 235 intake manifold to a local welder to be cut and welded just north of the injector flange. I should be able to use everything t7 after this. It will be extremely identical to Stephen's viggen build from awhile back.

The motor has maybe 5000 miles on it, maybe, but there are a couple things that need to be addressed. The rear main seal has a leak; that's in my parts box. PO retained BS, but I have the delete plugs from GS. Are most on board with the GS plugs or pulling the timing chain and keeping shafts in place instead? I know I have to use the 235 oil pan and come up with a work around for the PS pump bracket. Is there anything else 235 that I'll need? The short block is rusting in some spots. I plan to sand, mask, and hit this with some paint. Who has a go to paint?

Here are some from POs setup. I'll update with pictures this weekend.

Those running a T7 top mount set up. How have you routed the BPV? As well as the out/cold side of the IC piping to turbo? I'm running the d088 IC and plan to keep that.
