Question 9000 block into 9-3 viggen

Yes it can be done, no it can't be done!! I buy the 9000 motor as I am told it can be done, without major issues. First non major issue! Engine mounts are different ARRGGGH

Straight to the point. have 9000 block and want to put it into my Viggen (don't ask why, still crying! and no the B235 block isn't repairable). Have everything Viggen and other mod bits (which all fitted!) Engine mounts don't line up, just for starters!!!!! Plenty of advise on 9000 to 95 set up! PLEASE HELP

Just to be clear, '94-'98 9000 blocks will swap, but '91-'93 will not.

You need to strip both engines down to the block, and put your Viggen timing cover, oil pan, and flywheel side end plate onto your doner 9000 so that it will mate to your 9-3. The blocks themselves are interchangeable, but all the accesories (except the water pump sort of) are different.

The clutches and flywheel are also different, so you'll need to swap those parts onto your 9000 engine too.
