Does anyone know Dave Kennedy and talk to him latley??

I am desperately trying to get hold of Dave to get an update on my 6cm 19T turbo build. I shipped him a bunch of turbos, parts and money in Sept 2014 and still don't have anything from him. He told me it might take a while and I was, and still am, OK with that. It has been 18 months though!

I have called and called - his VM has been full for months so I cant leave a message. I have tried calling at different times to see if I can get him. no luck

I have emailed him a few times and never get a reply.

I am not trying to bash him publicly - that is totally not my style. I just want to know if anyone knows how I can get in touch with him. I would really like to get my 9-5 back together. Has anyone here done business with him recently? Dave is super nice and I am not trying to smear his good name - i just need him to tell me what it up.

if anyone has any helpful info please PM me. Thanks

I had him do my 1 turbo from a 15t-19t and it took nearly 3 months. I think his life is full of drama. That was in sept of 14 to Jan of 2015

Nothing against Dave, I don't know him, but if that falls through G-Pop does great work with good prices: http://gpopshop.com/

I've had nothing but really good experiences with them; they're fast and communicate well, have technical expertise, etc.

My turbo toyota pickup has an early 80's Saab 900 T3 rebuilt by gpop. Has probably 50-60k miles on it. nbd

I realize there are other options but the shitty part is that Dave has a lot of expensive parts of mine for 18 months:

- complete 6cm turbo
- complete td04 turbo
- e manifold to be ported
- EGT sensor to be tapped into the manifold
- king cobra pipe to be port matched
- $600, check cashed in sept 2014

I can be very reasonable but I need Dave to reply my emails or return my calls

You have every right to bash, and thanks for posting. Heck, I would have bashed after 3 months. He has been around for frickn years, but that doesn't mean it gives him a get out jail card for free. I would be pissed, but I would also move on and go another route, then have him ship you the old parts cause its obvious you are not going to get it done from him, unless he reads this. If he doesn't ship you the parts back, either cut bait, or go to small claims, which is a hassle.
You gave him cash already, man I would be really pissed.

One of the reasons I like dealing through paypal and using the invoice system (as opposed to the friendly "gift"). At least it gives you some protection, no matter who you're dealing with.

I admire your patience and restraint, that's a lot of money in those parts + cash = LSD money...

I hope you get this sorted out, you deserve a saablink gofundme for some new parts. Good luck.

Not to stir the pot or anything but I hope you fair better than that guy. I assume he would have the decency to update the thread if he got the the exhaust eventually.

If everyone that has had problems with this guy gets together maybe it would be more effective to have a sort of class action lawsuit? Strength in numbers is always good.

Talk to your bank about recalling the check. A lot of people don't know, but you can recall a check for YEARS after it's sent. I know Bank of America had a process to do it. I don't know if all banks do.

UPDATE
Dave called today and said he still had all my parts and that he would wrap things up in the next 1-2 weeks.

He did share with me that he has had a lot of family related problems that were pretty serious, death and cancer among the details that are not mine to share. I consider these to be damn good reasons but not excuses for leaving me completely in the dark with no communication.

I am looking forward to receiving my turbo,
