Anyone know exactly what they do to the airbox?

I thought I read somplace that they had to make a custom airbox.

Maptun uses the K&N drop in filter, and the us rep is a total dick. I don't plan on working with them.

Since you have a "t" switch to the "T" airbox. You can also delete the snorkel from the bottom of the box. This will make it a little nicer sounding.

interesting! i've probably had a couple dozen of these airboxes out at work, but i never looked close enough to see that there was a difference.

guess i'll look closer next time.

By snorkel do you mean the piece that hides behind the bumper?

For info's sake, 2003 had the Vector as the top of the line, after that the name was replaced by Aero. They are the same car mechanically. Also the Arc and Aero/Vector use the same drivetrain hardware(210hp engine, 6spd, larger brakes).

So in this case of an 03' the only question regarding the intake would be if he has the 2.0t in the Linear or the 2.0T in the Arc and Vector.

if you are going to max out the stages.. the piping after the airbox to the turbo will also be changed to a larger diameter. thats customized by nordic/maptun
