Question - Did you ever get your brakes installed? I thought I remembered you saying you ordered the speedparts kit awhile ago...

EDIT: I have to write your name just because of the guy's post a few posts above........
Kaylan.

I'm a paranoid type, but every once in a while it catches something.....

What stops the wind from coming from behind the stand/hood and blowing it forward? Or when it's REALLY windy out you'll just lay it down like you used to?

I'm very envious of your car, but I think I'm more envious of the fact that you did most of the work yourself and didn't just take it somewhere to have it done.
My roommate has done the same type of thing, he didn't really know too much about working on a car (he'd done nothing but change his tires) and he had 3 cars, an Audi 80, 90, and 5000.
He took the body of the 80, the transmission, suspension (upgraded), and exhaust (custom) of the 90, and the turbo engine from the 5000 and has built one car out of it. He did it all with the help of one of the local mechanic's shops he'd become friendly with, but he did the major share of the work and the research. They just helped him when he got stuck.

I don't have that type of talent.
It's awesome to see people who do!

I'm so glad to see you didn't sell the car! (you AREN'T going to sell it.......right?! hint hint)

After having done something that amazing I'd just keep it around even after I moved on to something else, just to remind me. You'll never get anything close to what it's worth in blood, sweat, tears, and sentiments.

lol at saying my name

The hood stand is steel. The base is heavy to keep it from blowing over. It would have to be a crazy storm here in WA to have winds of those speeds.

No I am not going to sell it. It crosses my mind every now and then but I dont think I could ever really let it go. Especially now that its finally going to get its roll cage! I wont feel like the interior is so bare!

Its not too soon.

Some guy told me today "My truck will blow your cars doors off." I felt bad informing him that he was too late and that they have already been blown off.
