first impression of poly bushings

I just installed the powerflex bushings all around on my 2001. I got the subframe done and the front and rear control arms as well. Many of the stock bushings had crumbled or cracked and I was beginning to notice clunking and the steering felt soft.

Here's a little background on the car's chassis so far at 140k:
Koni FSD/stock aero springs
SAS Sways with powerflex bushings
GS poly transmission bushing

I've only done about 30 miles on the car so far and I've already noticed a difference. First, the steering response is noticeable sharper. Second, There feels to be less body roll, it handles quite flat like a car with much lower mileage. Last, vibration in the cabin has gone down. This is because one of my subframe bushings was completely shot.

In conclusion, I feel like the chassis work I've done has extended the life of the car many more thousands of miles. It drives like a newer car and nobody would know it is 11 years old and has high mileage. The car is on snow tires right now so i'm not going to push it too hard, however I'd say this is mostly a regular maintenance procedure and not as much a performance gain. I would recommend all the poly bushings to you 9-5 guys, but try to install as much as you can yourself because shop labor for me was 10 hours. I just can't have my car out of commission for longer than a day.

Also, buy the subframe kit on Ebay from overseas. I got mine in like 2 days from one seller.

Did you install PFS904117? Any price break for a small group order? 10 hours for installation?

10 hours included the subframe, front, and rear bushings and alignment. I'm not complaining because I would not want to have to do that myself.

The subframe kit is PFS904117 for my '01. I bought it on ebay for ~160 with REALLY fast shipping.

Not even kidding...this car feels brand new. It's perky, responsive, comfortable, and feels glued to the road. This really is how the chassis should have been from the factory. The ride is EXCELLENT and not harsh at all, and it handles soooo well now!
